Fantastic opportunity to join this Global financial brand, based in Surrey / South London, as a Content Strategist. My client is looking for an experienced and highly motivated professional to help take their content strategy to the next level.
You’ll be an integral part of delivering the best possible content experience to global users of my client’s websites. This means designing and implementing user-focused web journeys while meeting the demands of numerous stakeholders and remaining compliant with regulatory needs.
You’ll need to be seasoned in the world of large, matrix organisations and have experience managing stakeholders with diplomacy to create the best content experience for users.

Essential skills and experience:
- Proven experience in website journey design and developing digital content
- Background in designing digital experiences, writing and editing for digital platforms either as a journalist, content manager or a copywriter
- Ability to communicate complex and emotive topics to different audiences through a range of data, written and verbal methods
- Competency with information architecture and user experience (UX) best practices
- Good working knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and the architectural considerations of content
- Excellent stakeholder and influencing skills, including negotiation of deadlines, requirements and managing expectations:
- Demonstrable experience of working to a brief
- Confident presentation and communication skills to champion the benefits and logistics of project deliverables
Key responsibilities:
- Plan, develop and coordinate content strategy and the web journeys to deliver it
- Think beyond the page to embrace holistic web site journeys with the emphasis on customer experience, ease and clarity
- Define content requirements based on competitor research, customer feedback and internal subject matter experts
- Create, implement and manage outstanding digital website journeys based on those requirements
- Optimise current content and journeys to reduce points of friction and best meet digital KPI’s
- Ensure that content is always tuned to the needs of the customer or prospect, the task they are trying to complete, and the mind-set they are in while completing that task
- Work with other departments to ensure content meets legal, compliance, SEO, accessibility and style guide requirements
- Take the initiative to engage and coordinate content testing, peer review, and proofreading
- Manage stakeholders and balance sometimes competing demands to achieve the best outcome for the customer
- Ensure that signed-off copy is delivered to deadline, working closely with the digital team and stakeholders
- Champion the role of digital content within the team, group, and larger organization
