Reporting directly to the brand CEO, you will be responsible for setting the entire marketing strategy for a high-profile portfolio of international events, as well as managing a team of marketers. This is a brand new role into the company, and they are looking for someone with a strong B2B events marketing background who can hit the ground running.

Marketing Talent is excited to once again be supporting this international telecoms events brand in their search for a Head of Marketing/Senior Marketing Manager. Reporting directly to the brand CEO, you will be responsible for setting the entire marketing strategy for a high-profile portfolio of international events, as well as managing a team of marketers. This is a brand new role into the company, and they are looking for someone with a strong B2B events marketing background who can hit the ground running.
Requirements:
- Proven B2B events marketing experience on an international scale (conferences, exhibitions etc.) across all channels
- Significant experience in line managing teams of marketers
- Ideally already at Senior Marketing Manager level or above
- Experience of setting marketing strategy and hands-on implementation thereof
- Proven experience within product development and revenue generation
- Knowledge of social media marketing and content marketing
- Excellent business acumen
- Knowledge of the telecoms industry and market would be beneficial
- Educated to degree level in marketing or similar (and CIM diploma would be a plus)
- Good IT skills, particularly in MS Office, marketing databases, marketing automation tools, and campaign management tools such as Adobe Campaign
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all marketing-related functions
- Managing a team of five marketers, and all internal and external stakeholders
- Creating and implementing the international marketing strategy across the whole portfolio
- Helping to develop ideas for product development alongside the commercial team
- Creating the strategic road map across the product portfolio, ensuring that they meet customer expectations and continue to develop in line with market changes and internal strategic developments
- Working alongside business development team to help identify new product opportunities, and where appropriate, creating new business cases
- Setting and managing the marketing budget in order to maximise ROI
- Optimising cross-marketing opportunities between products
- Responsible for the marketing profitability of delegate and subscription revenue
- Engaging with, and positioning the products clearly and effectively in front of the target audience in order to generate revenue
- Defining and overseeing marketing communications via all appropriate channels, with an emphasis on online, social, email, content marketing and telesales
- Using customer analytics (e.g. customer behaviour, campaign results) to develop go-to market activities.
