Marketing and Brand Manager – London – To £30,000
This exciting opportunity will allow the successful applicant to make their mark within a historical and world-leading brand. Our client is the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of dance shoes and apparel and has enjoyed nearly a century of supplying the biggest theatres and most successful dancers, actors and models in over 50 countries across the world. They have also featured on prime time UK television, in some of the biggest films in recent years, and their celebrity clients have included the likes of Naomi Campbell, Natalie Portman and Patrick Swayze.
As Marketing and Brand Manager, you will help to build a strong brand image and raise their profile within the dance industry by developing and implementing a strategic marketing plan within an agreed budget. The role has great career progression potential, and opportunities for national and international travel.
Requirements:
·3 + years of B2C marketing experience
·Skilled in design with Photoshop/quarkXpress or similar
·Degree in Marketing or similar
·Knowledge of planning, designing and preparing literature for print within strict deadlines
·Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Word
·Excellent organisational and planning skills
·Strong communication skills and a positive attitude, able to work enthusiastically in a team environment and motivate others
·Desire to actively support and promote the brand’s objectives
·Some knowledge of the dance industry would be advantageous, but is not compulsory.
Responsibilities:
·Provide a marketing plan including budgets and present to the board
·Work with the Sales Director on planned annual wholesale and retail promotions and design and prepare any advertising literature required
·Prepare and coordinate photo shoots
·Develop brand websites and promote them
·Design and implement social media strategy (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc.)
·Design and organise shop displays in conjunction with store management
·Liaise with external governing bodies
·Work closely with sales and manufacturing departments to ensure new products are commercially viable and are introduced effectively into the range
·Manage and report quarterly on the progress of new product launches
·Maintain a shared schedules database for product development
·Organise, promote and attend events and exhibitions on behalf of the Company
·Conduct market research for existing and future products
·Establish media links to ensure maximum exposure of products
·Stay appropriately networked to keep abreast of trends and news events so that all opportunities are exploited
