Marketing & Merchandising Manager, China & Hong Kong – Leading Beauty E-commerce – London & Shenzhen - c£50k +Bens
Marketing Talent is thrilled to once again be supporting Europe’s largest e-tailer of premium beauty products in their search for a Marketing and Merchandising Manager – China & Hong Kong.
This is an absolutely superb opportunity. Concentrating your knowledge on the APAC beauty market place, you will lead the growth and development of an already strong customer base, implementing and executing your own strategy to drive forward maximum growth. Reporting into the Head of International, this role requires strong experience of e-commerce marketing as well as local market knowledge - ideally within the beauty and cosmetics sector.
Requirements:
•Willing to start the position in the company’s London office, and then relocate to Shenzhen later on in the year
•Digital and ROI driven - understands e-commerce entirely
•Fluent written and oral Chinese, Mandarin and English essential
•Comfortable with travel – Hong Kong, China, UK
•Broad understanding of the global beauty market
•At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as well as a strong work ethic
•Ability to work to tight deadlines and manage projects independently
•Strong IT skill with a deep understanding of e-commerce and content management
•Degree always an advantage
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Work incredibly closely with the company’s external partner in Shenzhen ensuring all customers receive the best experience consistent with the company’s worldwide brand values
•Work with the Commercial team to identify local variations required in products, pricing and onsite merchandising in order to maximize sales and margin
•Often work with Communications Director to develop PR activity to promote the brand in the China & Hong Kong
•Work with online and offline marketing teams to set up and manage local market affiliate, search, social and email marketing activity targeted at increasing sales and raising brand awareness across China, Hong Kong, and where practical the wider APAC region
•Produce weekly performance reports to show sales performance and marketing activity - analyse these reports and subsequently roll out agreed actions that will drive increased profit.
•Work closely with commercial teams and key stakeholders in the UK
This role is for a hands-on Senior Marketer who relishes the challenge to implement and execute robust marketing initiatives to really grow this respected brand in China & Hong Kong.
