Senior Direct Marketing Officer – Medical research Charity – London – c£34,000 Pro-rata – initial 4 month contract
Marketing Talent is pleased to be supporting this medical research charity with their search for a Senior Direct Marketing Officer; on an initial 4 month contract to support the Direct Marketing Manager in the delivery of effective, integrated and measured supporter and membership recruitment, development and retention programmes, overseeing the implementation of specified areas of the programme, and contributing to the on-going strategic development.
Person spec:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and deliver an innovative programme of donor recruitment and development activities, ensuring these are engaging, achieving target, on time, and are profitable, and give recommendations for contingency activity as needed
2. Lead Direct Marketing campaign analysis and evaluation including benchmarking key performance indicators and developing income scenarios such as lifetime value and share learning with colleagues to improve income year on year
3. Take a lead in managing the Direct Marketing supply chain and maintain effective working relationships with external suppliers so that they are contracted at optimum prices, service level agreements are adhered to, and suppliers are scoped out, inducted, briefed and trained.

- Voluntary sector experience (desirable)
- Knowledge of print and media production processes
- Knowledge of the whole of the marketing mix including PR and digital
- Ability to communicate across a range of audiences and messages
- Good editing, and emotive/creative writing skills
- Working with a range of direct media, eg direct mail, telemarketing. [DRTV, F2F, Online and Social networking (desirable)]
