Social Media Manager – Central London – To £35k
Our client is a property company with a start-up mentality and a deeply creative approach to the work they do, creating a new breed of places purpose built for modern life. Their mission is to redesign the world around our generation, so they create better places for young people to live, work and play. As a developer and operator, they now have an existing portfolio and development pipeline of 1,500 beds and additional projects with a gross development value of c. £250,000,000. They’re at a stage in their growth where we want to focus on real innovation in the industry’s approach to social media, and lead by example by continuing to bring the industry’s best talent in-house.
This is an opportunity, therefore, for a Social Media Manager to join the team who will have the opportunity to be instrumental in delivering this vision and play a pivotal role in becoming the voice of the business.
About the Role
We are looking for a hungry and passionate Social Media manager to take charge of the brand’s social media presence, and drive content and engagement across its different platforms. We want someone who is able to get under the skin of the consumer to fully understand his or her behaviour and promote and communicate the brand and key messages accordingly.
The right candidate will oversee the group’s social media strategy to ensure the business objectives are met, focusing on building the brand and engaging with the consumer. Alongside high-level strategy, the role will also require a hands-on approach in the day-to-day managing of social profiles, creating social content, running social advertising campaigns, managing budgets and reporting on effectiveness. As the brand continues to grow and expand, this role will involve a large volume of campaign strategy as new products and sites are launched across London.

- Working with the Marketing Manager and Head of Communications to define social media strategy
- Managing content, discussion and advertising across all Social Media channels (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google +)
- Building and maintaining cross channel content calendars
- Drafting blog posts for the blog and content platform
- Driving traffic to the website
- Social reporting and tracking
The right candidate must be/have:
- Driven and proactive
- Forward thinking and innovative
- Ability to establish a strategic vision and plans aligned to brand and business objectives
- Excellent writing skills and a keen visual sense. An eye for detail and a quick wit.
- Enthusiastic and passionate about building online communities
- 2+ years running social media at a consumer facing brand or agency
