Looking for a new marketing job, but don't know where to start?

​When job hunting, it’s important to stay motivated and positive. Here are some tips to help you make the most of your job search: 

• Create a job search plan - Before you start looking for roles, it’s important to have a plan in place. This should include researching the types of roles available, creating a list of companies to target, and setting realistic goals. 
• Update your CV - Ensure your CV is up-to-date, tailored to the roles of interest, and presents you in the best light. Consider using a CV template to help you structure your document, or you can pay a CV writing expert to do it for you (worth the outlay!).
• Network - Networking is great for job search success. Get in touch with professionals in your industry and try to meet professionals from companies you’d like to work for. This will help to open doors you may not have known about.
• Use online job boards - Job boards are a great source of job postings and are a great way to get your CV out there. Be sure to tailor your applications to the role you’re applying for and use relevant keywords.  We recommend LinkedIn, Indeed, Reed and CV Library, but there are hundreds to choose from.
• Stay focused - Job search can be a long and protracted process, so it’s important to stay motivated. Keep track of your progress and use positive reinforcement to keep you going.
